New Snow!

It's been a while since I posted anything new here on the blogger site for the dogs.
we had our 1st snowfall, only about 5-6", we missed out on the "big one" that went coastal.
But the dogs had fun in it.

today we had a nice snowfall, wish it would have been more

Last weekend there were 4 berners in the house!

Mocha came to stay overnight while her mom had to upgrade the computer systems where she works. They all got along well & I think Mocha enjoyed the company of the other pups.

Flashes vs. Natural Light

This one above is Natural light coming from a window on the left in the late afternoon sunset.
No flash was used. f4.0 1/50th ISO 250 I metered off of her white & then overexposed it a stop or two in the camera & then fixed the white blowout in camera raw with recovery slider.


This one of Misha above was shot the same way w/the flash below as I listed it.

This was made with a flash on a canon 30d, external flash w/a home made diffuser on top of the flash. I made it from a rubbermade water bottle that I cut the top so it would fit over the head of the flash & the flash shoots into it & then spills the light all around. idea for the diffuser taken from here: http://strobist.blogspot.com/2006/03/lighting-101-bare-tube-style-lighting.html

Crazy little Sera stayed in place for a nano-second to have her photo taken, then she was off tormenting the Berners & trying to steal their toys & bones, or jumping on them.

It's always fun when Sera comes over because she races around & keeps the berners on their "paws"
